Hiya Pals!
It’s a tale as old as time; or is it? Step inside Gaston’s Tavern and decide for yourself!
Location
Located near Ariel and Prince Eric’s castle nestled between Be Our Guest Restaurant and The Popping Cart and Bonjour! Village Gifts, sits the small, quaint Gaston’s Tavern. Let me tell you this is a must do! Not only is the atmosphere fun and quirky just like Gaston himself, but the food is delicious!
The Menu
Obviously, there are drinks served here, but maybe not the ones you would imagine in a tavern. Moreover, you’ll be able to sample some yummy snacks! The whole menu currently includes a Ham, Provolone and Swiss Sandwich, The Grey Stuff Cupcake, and the real showstopper a Warm Cinnamon Roll! Along with juices, fountain beverages, milk and all the “normal” things you’ll find throughout the park you’ll find their signature drink LeFou’s Brew.
We almost always stop for a warm cinnamon roll and LeFou’s Brew. You can get the brew with or without the souvenir stein. Disney describes the drink as “Frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with all-natural passion fruit mango foam”. The drink itself is light and refreshing, and the toasted marshmallow flavor really shines through. It is so good; you definitely have to try it! We also order our cinnamon roll with extra icing on the side to dip into!
Atmosphere
Gaston uses antlers in all of his decorating, so the tavern is done accordingly. There are large portraits of Gaston and his pal LeFou as well as lots of dark wood tables and stools. Gigantic, manly chandeliers are adorned with antlers and light up the space. A large stone fireplace takes center stage at the end of one wall. As well as the large armchair Gaston sits in tucked in the corner for photo ops. Additionally, the fountain outside the tavern is fun for photos too.
Our Thoughts
We love having a cinnamon roll and a LeFou’s Brew for breakfast or a quick snack while in Magic Kingdom. The lines can get really long, but the last time we went we walked right in and up to the ordering window. Sometimes, the menu switches slightly, but the cinnamon roll and brew are staples so they’re always on the menu. The Grey Stuff cupcake has been recently added back. If you really want to try the grey stuff from the movie, but couldn’t get reservations at Be Our Guest, you can try it here!
Overall, Gaston’s Tavern is almost always on our must do list, and we think it should be added to your list as well. If you need help planning a Disney Vacation contact our friend Erica.
