Hiya Pals!
We just arrived back from an amazing Disney trip and wanted to review our experience at The Plaza Restaurant. Located just to the right side of Main Street before the Hub, this restaurant features delicious milkshakes and desserts. The dining room is on the smaller side, but it is ornate and beautiful inside! Find out more in our Plaza Restaurant Review.
Our Meal
First, we started our meal with a shared chocolate shake. We weren’t super hungry, so we decided to skip an appetizer. I ordered the chicken sandwich, my husband had the sirloin steak salad, and our son chose a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We finished our meal by splitting an Original Banana Split! The shakes here are hand-dipped and topped with whipped cream and a cherry to finish them off. Pricing for our meal was $7 for the shake, $22.50 and $21.00 for mine and my husband’s meals respectively, and $10.00 for the kid’s meal. Finishing up our meal the banana split was $10.50. All-in-all a decently priced meal for Disney standards.
Atmosphere & Extras
Again, the dining room here is small, so the tables are somewhat close to each other. It is very beautifully decorated, with lots of mirrors and glass light fixtures and sconces. The restaurant reminds me of a diner, but definitely more upscale. Dining here is casual though, so no fancy clothing is required. Lunch is served from 11am to 2:55pm and dinner starts at 3pm and is served until closing at 9pm. You can expect to pay anywhere from $15-$35 per adult. Reservations are highly recommended, although you may be able to join the walk-up list.
Our Thoughts
Overall, the food here was good! We really enjoyed the banana split! My chicken sandwich was really delicious, and I loved the pickled onions on top! The price for what we got was great, but in general I would say not much set this food apart from anything I can get anywhere back home. My favorite things were the shake and the dessert, which can be ordered at The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor located right next door. Would I eat here again? Yes, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. I hope you enjoyed this honest review of The Plaza Restaurant. Let us know in the comments if you’ve eaten here, and how you would rate it on a scale of 1-10.
