One thing Disney prides itself on is its abundant choices to dine and have a delicious meal. They offer different level dining experiences on property and cuisine from around the world. How cool is that!
Located next to Magic Kingdom inside the Contemporary Resort, is the home to the ever so popular Chef Mickeys Restaurant.
I had the pleasure of eating there this past January. Let’s take a look at a Chef Mickeys brunch review!
Where is Chef Mickeys?
Inside the Contemporary Resort, is the massively open 4th floor. Here you will find a few gift shops and other dining places for guests to enjoy. Did you know the Contemporary is the only resort the Monorail drives through?
Once you find yourself on the 4th floor, in the grand nine floor concourse is a large sign reading Chef Mickeys! Walking towards the entrance, you will spot the check in desk! Here you will be greeted by a friendly cast member or two ready to take your information, get you checked in and ready to experience this wonderful place!
Chef Mickeys welcomes guests with warm colors, ample seating, and giant buffet tables. There are pictures of Mickey and pals all over the walls and sights of the castle outside of the many windows.
We were brought to a table in the far back corner, large enough to seat our party of 9. We were lucky enough to be seated next to a beautiful floor to ceiling window with a view of Bay Lake Tower! It was quite breathtaking.
Chef Mickeys offers breakfast from 7:30am to 12:30pm. And they serve a dinner menu from 5pm to 9:30pm. Pricing for breakfast is $35 per child and $59.99 per adult. Dinner is priced the same as breakfast.

If you are looking to snag a reservation, be sure to keep on top of it, reservations can be hard to find. Or we recommend using a travel agent to do the booking for you! Our friend Erica is a travel agent and she is ready to and can help you grab one.
Erica was able make us a brunch reservation and we were thrilled!
What’s on the Menu
Like traditional breakfast foods, this is the place for you! Our meal began with a basket of small pastries, which were pillowy soft and mouthwatering. We were ready to ask for a second round, but the main course was right around the corner!
Pre Covid, dining at Chef Mickeys was buffet style, and they are yet to bring it back. However, everyone is currently served all you care to enjoy style. If you want more of anything all you have to do is simply ask! Let me tell ya, your gonna want more!
After the appetizers of pastries are the main entrees. You get to indulge on scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mickey waffles, pancakes, cheesy hashbrowns, fruit, brisket, there is even more to pick from. There really is something for everyone!
IT WAS YUMMY!! Every single one of us fully enjoyed the food!
Meeting Characters
Sitting at your table you are quickly greeted by Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck! Talk about a magical time!
Each character makes several rounds throughout the restaurant giving each table lots of time to visit and take pictures.
Some of you may be thinking “well if they are there that often how can we enjoy the meal?” Honestly, I was worried about that too. I am happy to say it wasn’t a problem! You know they are coming, making plenty of time to stop what you are doing and have a special visit!
We fully enjoyed every moment of it!
Experience and Review
Would I recommend Chef Mickeys? My answer is yes! It can be difficult to make a reservation, none the less if you can find one, take it!
Our time at brunch was great. Our server was on top of it! He kept our plates and tables teeming with food. He was there asking if we needed more of anything and making sure our cups were full. We all left stuffed and happy!
The restaurant itself is spacious and open! It is warm, happy, inviting, and fun! This is not a fancy restaurant by any means! Come dressed ready to go to the parks! Children of all ages will love this place, and I bet the adults will too!
The characters are wonderful! The time you get to spend with each one of them is magical. You and your family will keep those memories for a very long time!
I hope to get back to Chef Mickeys one day and experience a dinner! The menu looks wonderful. Fingers crossed it happens one day. I will be sure to let you all know how it goes!
