HiYa Pals!
Magic Kingdom is Disney Worlds core, its heartbeat, where the magic shines brightest! If you do not know, Magic Kingdom is the Park with the most rides and attractions, including shows, and all kinds of restaurants. There is something to ride, watch, shop at or eat at every corner.
Last month we were able to get to Magic Kingdom and we wanted to see what we could accomplish. Now we sort of set a list of things we wanted to get done, and I’d say we did quite a bit! Let me tell you how it went! This is our day in Magic Kingdom!

First Things First
This might be, as of right now, the most important thing to do when you book your trip, you need to make sure you set your park reservations!
As of current standing Disney is operating their parks on a reservation system. It’s not like pre-pandemic times where you can decide the morning of and pick a park to walk into.
When you book your trip, go into your MDE and make reservations for you and your party. Make reservations, or you will not have access to any of the parks. If you get park hopper tickets, you have to enter the first park you picked for the day and hopping is allowed at 2pm.
Disney is constantly changing so who knows how long this will continue, but I think it may be around to stay for a while.

Let’s Get The Day Started
First day in Magic Kingdom and we are super excited! After arrival and walking through security we made it in!
Upon entering we immediately walked in and had to go give Mickey a hug! Last time I was there I could only say hi from behind a rope and now the magic has returned! We hugged and I may have shed a tear. Don’t judge me lol
Photopass
Next, we needed to take pictures in front of the castle! Lord help me it was so hot; I was a sweaty mess, but the pictures turned out pretty cute! We waited in line around 3 minutes while the cast member was taking pictures of another family. Not a bad wait at all! If you can afford to add the photo pass to your trip, we highly recommend it!

After pictures we headed over to ride Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Teacups and Winnie the Pooh! I think our longest line for these rides was for Winnie the Pooh. We waited about 25ish minutes. While in line for Dumbo, Krysta’s son took full advantage of the playground area. There is a flying Dumbo, slides, musical steps, and plenty of seating for the adults. The best part, it’s a wonderful way to beat the heat!

Getting Hungry
While riding Dumbo we decided we were getting hungry, so we headed to Pinocchio’s village house for lunch. We mobile ordered our meals right outside and our food was ready within minutes. I ordered a Ceasar salad with chicken and a side of fries. Krysta ordered a delicious looking flatbread and Hudson had a kids peperoni pizza, apple slices and fries! The food was great, and we were able to sit next to a window watching people ride It’s a small world!

Right across the walkway from Pinocchio’s is Peter Pan, so we hopped in line! This ride is notorious for having a long line all day. The posted wait time was 75 minutes, however we made it through in about 50. I’ll take it! After flying through Neverland, we watched Philharmagic! Watch this show! It is a must do! From there we grabbed a sweet dole whip cone themed to snow white!
Time For a Mid-day Break
At this time, its 2:30 and HOT! One of the really nice things about staying on Disney property is you have the quick ability to hop back on a bus and take a mid-day break if you want! And that is exactly what we did! So, we headed back to the resort for some pool time! We swam, ate dinner and headed back around 6!
Fun In Tomorrowland
Upon arriving we headed to Tomorrowland and went to Monsters Inc. Laugh floor! If you’re looking for a funny show that’s adorable and has crowd participation, you will enjoy this show! From there we enjoyed the Carousel of Progress, this was one of Walt’s first and favorite attractions!
Thankfully at this point the rain stopped and we walked over and rode the people mover, one of my personal favorites! We were able to walk right on, with no wait! Want to know our top 5 for Magic Kingdom? Click here to find our favorite attractions! Now we were ready for some speed, off to Tomorrowland Speedway! If its speed you’re looking for, this isn’t ride for you, but it is a fun ride. You will find yourself laughing from the near impossible steering.
On to the next
Getting off of the racetrack we decided to head over to Buzz to try to defeat the evil emperor Zurg! Here you will find yourself shooting a laser gun at aliens and monsters in a swerving cart you can control! Next up we headed over to Storybook Circus and rode Barnstormer! This cute coaster is over in the blink of an eye! We even got lucky and were able to ride two times in a row!

Once on Barnstormer, the fireworks began and lines for rides were pretty much nonexistent! From there we walked on to Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion. We waited in line about 20 minutes for Splash Mountain and ended the night by walking right on to Big Thunder Mountain!

Sadly, the day had come to an end, and we made our way out of the park. We made sure to take our time and looked at the castle twice before we left, then off to our bus to get back to the resort.

What Did You Think?
After reading about our day did you think we accomplished enough? Was it too much? Would you push through hard and try and get as much done as you could?
With Magic Kingdom having so many rides we were able to do what we wanted. Even with a nice resort\pool break in the middle of the day! We were able to get 18 attractions done, not including stopping for food or meeting Mickey! I’d say that’s a pretty magical day!
No matter what our day looks like, make sure you plan your trip how you want! Enjoy it! Busy, relaxed, crowds or not, it’s about you!
Let us know in the comments if you would push to get everything done or would you relax and take a break?
