Hiya Pals, on our most recent trip to Disney World we tried a new dessert location, The Bakery at Summer House. They serve up a selection of large cookies and they have quite a few to choose from. Come along and see what we thought of them, and what we tried at The Bakery at Summer House!

Location
Located in Disney Springs inside Summer House on the Lake, this lake-front property is a full-fledged restaurant with a to-go bakery attached. We were firstly surprised that there wasn’t a ton of seating inside The Bakery. I think they really do intend for you to take them to go. There are a few tables tucked in a small area, and we were able to snag some seats to enjoy our treats. The restaurant itself is located in the West Side of the Springs, and if you’re looking for exact location or directions be sure to check them out in your My Disney Experience App. Need help navigating MDE? We have a blog for that!
The Cookies
We chose four cookies from the cookie bar. I would guess there to have been around two dozen different choices. I’m sure you’ll find something that sounds delicious to you! I picked a pineapple coconut cookie, while my husband had a peanut butter cup one, and my son chose a classic M&M. We decided on a lemon one to share between us.

The cookies were sweet and chewy. They were quite large and none of us finished our whole cookie while there. I would say they are only slightly smaller than Gideon’s cookies. If you’d like to hear more about our Gideon’s experience, you can do so here. We all really enjoyed our sweet treat for the night, but I think the lemon cookie was the hands down favorite. If you like lemon this cookie is definitely worth the try! It was sweet and tangy and a perfect way to end the night.

They also have an array of drinks to purchase; however, we skipped those on this visit. There are also a few other types of desserts available like brownies and rice crispy treats. If you’d like to look at their menu you can take a look here.
The Bakery Ambiance
The Summer House, and by extension The Bakery are bright and open. They remind me of a fresh farmhouse style kitchen that can be found in many modern Midwest homes. Everything seemed clean and freshly baked which is a definite plus.
When we visited there was no line, and we were able to walk right up to the counter and select our cookies. It was a nice way to end a day waiting in lines in the parks.

Pricing
Each of our cookie choices were under $5! Not too bad for Disney World and a large cookie. I would expect to pay the same price somewhere around my hometown as well. When looking at the cookie bar menu I don’t see any dessert over $6, so it’s a fairly cheap option.
Overall Thoughts
We really enjoyed our visit to The Bakery! We liked the cookies, not waiting in line, eating them in the restaurant, but finishing them at our resort, and the cheap price point. We will definitely be back when we’re visiting Disney Springs! There are so many different choices, and I would be sure to try something new, and get another lemon cookie too!
