A Few of Our Favorite Things

Hiya Pals! Have you ever thought to yourself, holy cow there is way too much to try or do at Disney? Are you overwhelmed with it all? Well, you are not alone. Infact, they say someone could stay a full year at Disney and still not get everything done! Thankfully we are here to help! In this blog we will go over a few of our favorite things! Please feel free to use these ideas to your advantage! What we like, you may not, none the less we want you to have somewhere to start if you so desire! Without further ado…. here are a few of our favorite things!

Our Favorite Resort

I have spent the most time at POP Century! And I love it! POP is family friendly, rooms are lightly decorated, making you feel like you are in the Disney bubble without being overwhelming. The resort is decked out to different decades and is so fun! It is categorized as a value resort meaning the price is great! Additionally, it is on the Skyliner path making access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios a breeze!

Check out our review of POP Century here or why to pick a value resort here!

My all-time favorite resort is Yacht Club! It is a Deluxe resort with tons of amenities. I love the nautical feel it has and the pool is arguably the best pool on Disney property. It is located in the Epcot resort area, so it’s close to the parks and its lakefront, so it has boat access as well as bus access to the parks. The Yachtsman Steakhouse is among a few amazing restaurants located in this resort. Additionally, its sister resort is Beach Club, with whom it shares a pool, is within walking distance so you can also use their restaurants and amenities. We loved our stay here and can’t wait to return soon! If you’d like to learn more about Disney’s Deluxe resorts check out this blog!

Our Favorite Park

There’s just something about the magic in Magic Kingdom that keeps me coming back for more! I have always enjoyed this park the most, and it holds the most iconic rides for me. Knowing that the classics are all there brings me joy. Moreover, the castle views are dreamy! I love that feeling when I walk into Magic Kingdom and it feels like home, and I’m at peace. To hear more about what we love at Magic Kingdom look no further!

Now don’t get me wrong, Magic Kingdom is tied for first! However, there is something about EPCOT. It holds some of my favorite rides, exploring the countries is amazing, and the festivals are awesome! It is easy to spend a full day there and want to go back for more! Check out a fun day at Epcot here!

Our Favorite Character Dining

There are so many character dining experiences on Disney property. And so far, I have only been to a few of them. My favorite as of right now is breakfast at Topolinos located on the top floor of the Riviera Resort. Here you get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy as they are dressed in their beautiful Parisian outfits! The food is fantastic, the time spent with the characters is outstanding, and the view from the place is breathtaking! Check out our experience here!

Call it nostalgia, or whatever you want but, Chef Mickey’s is the quintessential Disney Character dining for me! Served as an all-you-care-to-enjoy style buffet, you can get almost anything you want here. You’ll dine and dance with Mickey, Minnie, Donnald, Goofy and Pluto during breakfast, lunch or dinner. I’ve enjoyed breakfast, brunch and dinner here and all are amazing. They also have my FAVORITE Disney treat little Mickey-shaped Oreo mousse domes. I literally dream of these (enter all the heart-eye emojis)! They are also known for their famous Mickey waffles, and they boast one of my favorite ways to enjoy them, because the Mickey waffles have their very own toppings bar. You can’t beat that! I love mine with warm syrup and fresh whipped cream.

Our Favorite Quick Service Restaurant

Totchos! Need I say more? Probably not, but I will. Totchos are chili cheese nachos but on tater tots instead of chips. Plus, they have amazing sandwiches and house made pop tarts called Lunch Box Tarts, a cross between a hand-pie and a pop tart. You also can’t go wrong with a mystic portal punch or a grown-up lemonade. There are vegan options as well as variations for allergies available as well. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We try to grab something from here every time we go. The only downside is their limited seating. You can also mobile order from this location, so we’ve been known to mobile order a punch and a Lunch Box Tart and make our way to a nearby line.

Both of these locations are a great spot to grab a quick meal. At Caseys Corner you can always enjoy an all-American classic hot dog or try a specialty they are offering at the time! Enjoy on the hub grass in Magic Kingdom and you can’t go wrong! At Satu’li Canteen you can enjoy some delicious food. They offer a variety of bowls to cheeseburger pods! A twist on mouthwatering meals!

Our Favorite Restaurant Outside of the Parks

Located at the Grand Floridian Resort on the main floor you are sure to enjoy a wonderful meal and explore the grounds of the resort afterwards. The food is delicious, they are known to have some amazing chicken and waffles. Eat there for dinner and after you can watch Magic Kingdom fireworks from the water!

You simply can’t go wrong with those noodles and tons of different options for meats! Not to mention those gorgeous castle views. Plus, you can get a late dinner reservation and see the Magic Kingdom fireworks show and they have the music piped in, so you don’t miss a thing. You can also dine here for breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mikey and Pluto. The food, no matter which meal you choose, is amazing!

Our Favorite Snacks

Magic Kingdom: Cinnamon roll and LeFou’s Brew from Gastons Tavern

Epcot: Baklava from the Marocco Pavillion

Hollywood Studios: Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie

Animal Kingdom: Night Blossom

Those are my favorites but there are so so many more!

Magic Kingdom: Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow, or a Cheeseburger Spring Roll from the Spring Roll Cart. It depends on if you want something sweet or savory.

Epcot: Pretzel Bread Pudding from the Germany pavilion, or anything from an outdoor kitchen.

Hollywood Studios: Same as Becky- because they are amazing, but if I had to choose something different, I would pick a Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters.

Animal Kingdom: Hand-dipped Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar from Drinkwallah. This was a special 50th anniversary treat that has stayed around. It’s a Mickey Ice Cream Bar hand-dipped in blue raspberry coating and it is sooo good!

Our Favorite Show

It’s such a fun twist on the movie and even has an element of surprise at the end!

This show brings back all the feels and memories from childhood. The performance from the cast is Broadway level entertainment. Love it!

Our Favorite Ride

To me one of the best ways to sit back, relax, and enjoy where you are at is on the People Mover! Enjoy a trip around Tomorowland and take in the sights.

I love the idea of visiting places I may never see from a hang-glider. I love the scents they use, and I was so excited the day our son was old enough to ride with us.

Our Favorite Photo Op

You not only get a great view of the castle, but you can catch the reflection of the castle in the moat. Some of my most favorite castle shots are taken here, especially at Christmas.

I love photography, always have. There are so many wonderful things to take pictures of or pictures to be in. You don’t even need to have purchased the memory maker for your trip. If you have a phone or camara, cast members are happy to capture the moment for you! Whether it’s in front of the castle or with one of your favorite characters utilize those opportunities!

Our Favorite Disney Springs Stop

Listen, I’m a chocolate lover lol! Both of these places are so worth the wait. There are so many places to check out in Disney Springs it’s hard to pick. But if I can manage a trip to either one of these places, I am a happy camper!

If you can’t find it at World of Disney, it likely doesn’t exist on Disney property. This store has it ALL and it’s the glue that holds Disney Springs together in my opinion.

Overall

We hope this list of a few of our favorite things is helpful to you! There is so much more to Disney and what you can discover. What matters most is you enjoy yourself on your trip! Whether you are spending a week or 3 days at Disney we want you to have the most magical time, whatever that looks like to you!
