Disney Pin Trading and Collecting

Hiya Pals!

Did you know that Disney has its very own pin line? You can buy pins online before your trip and trade with cast members on your vacation. This can be extremely fun for young kids as well as adults. Whether you want to collect pins that mean something to you or trade pins to start a series, you can find all kinds of different pins for you and your family. So, what is Disney pin trading and collecting all about? Read more to find out.

If you’re looking for a fabulous travel agent who can book your Disney Vacation at no cost to you reach out to our friend ERICA. She plans all our Disney adventures.

Where to find Disney Pins

Disney pins are available in literally every Disney shop on property! You can find them in Resort gift shops as well throughout the parks and Disney Springs. Online sales can also be a good option because a lot of people sell in bulk lots online so you can buy more pins at a cheaper price. These pins are especially good for trading. Just be careful you aren’t buying what they call ‘Scrapper Pins’ which is a fake Disney pin.

How expensive are they?

With prices ranging from around $12 to upwards of $50+ you can easily customize your pin collecting and trading to fit any budget. Pins can be some of the cheapest Disney souvenirs you can find. You can purchase individual pins, packs or sets, mystery boxes and more.

How to start a collection

You can start a collection of absolutely ANYTHING! Personally, I collect things that remind me of a specific trip, something special we did, or the resort we stayed at. I have tons of resort pins, as I try to collect one from each place we stay. Want more info on where we like to stay? Check this out! Additionally, I look for pins with rides my son likes or tries for the first time. When my mom and I had a girls’ night out in the parks I grabbed a special Minnie and Daisy pin to remind me of the occasion. You can collect anything you like such as characters from your favorite movies, or things that interest you that day like snacks. There’s a pin for everyone!

Pin Trading

Moreover, anyone can trade pins too! You can look for a cast member with a pin lanyard for trading or sometimes there’s a board outside of restaurants and shops that you can trade too. Just be mindful that you should be trading a pin the cast member doesn’t have to get the one you want. Pin trading can be a really fun activity for old and young alike! My son loves talking to cast members about the pins he wants to trade. We usually keep a small pouch of pins handy just for trading.
