HiYa Pals!
Atop the Riviera Resort is a beautiful restaurant named Topolinos Terrace, Flavors of the Riviera. Here you can have a decadent dinner with views of 3 parks, perhaps even catch some fireworks if timed right. Or you have the option of a delightful breakfast with 4 Disney friends!
Here you meet the ever so silly Donald Duck, his sassy girl Daisy Duck, the marvelous Minnie Mouse, and the man himself Mickey Mouse! So, let’s dive in and let me tell you about it!
Topolinos
Once you have taken the elevators up to the top floor you will exit into the foyer of Topolinos. Here you will find marble flooring, golden fixtures, large wine coolers, a seating area and the front check in desk.
No worries if you have your stroller, to the left of check in is plenty of space for parking. There is a long hallway leading to restrooms if needed. The artwork is colorful and playing in the background is settle Disney music set to a Mediterranean theme.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious. There are windows everywhere letting in the sights and natural light. Seating is ample and comfortable. Near the entrance at the front of the restaurant is the large bar area. I’m sure that place is busy in the evening.
Opposite the entrance is the terrace. Outside of the double doors you will find multiple seating areas, a bar, and plenty of space for viewing the grounds. WOW! Standing on the wall closest to the doors you can see Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. It’s a really cool view.
The overall feel of Topolinos is warm and welcoming. All of the cast members we encountered were kind and helpful. They made sure we had met each character and encouraged us to take our time on the terrace.
The Food
Once seated, every table is given a yummy pastry basket. Inside you will find, muffins of several varieties, croissants, and breads. There are three toppings that come with the pastries, butter, a Nutella like spread, and jam. Each and every one of those pastries were so good. My personal favorite was the croissant with chocolate in the middle, while my mom enjoyed the apple muffin the most. You cannot go wrong with any choice. You’re probably going to get a second round, or at least think about it!
To drink we each had the famous POG (pineapple, orange, guava) juice. If you have never had it, I highly recommend giving it a try. The juice is refreshing and so yummy.
For main courses my mom had the wild mushroom scramble, and I enjoyed the 2 eggs any style. As sides, my mom’s mushroom scramble came with seasoned smashed potatoes and sausage. While I had the seasoned smashed potatoes and bacon. We both loved the meal and would get our items again.
The menu has healthy number of other offerings such as Avocado Toast, Sour Cream Waffles, French Toast Brulee and more. The kid’s menu has Mickey dippers. Which are Mickey waffles on a stick with a few different dipping options. I have heard it is a pretty famous choice for the little ones.
I told you we had the POG juice, however there is a plethora of options when it comes to beverages. They have everything from your standard juices and coffees to a long list of adult beverages. Whatever you want, I’m pretty sure you can find it here.
Characters
When Topolinos opened I kept hearing how amazing the food was and how the interactions with characters are so wonderful. I heard it over and over again. So naturally Topolinos has been on my wish list of places to visit.
Due to the rave reviews, it has been a sought-out place by many others aside from me! However, by determination and probably just dumb luck I was able to snag this breakfast reservation!
If you want a better chance of getting a reservation, be sure to use a travel agent! They can get them quicker than we can alone! Reach out to Erica for help!
Put the food aside, the interactions we had with the characters alone was worth the price. I don’t know if we were placed at our seats at just the right time but holy cow, we met all four Disney friends within the first 10 minutes of being there.
Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and Donald each took several minutes with us to take pictures with and talk to. It was fantastic. The theme of the costumes on the characters is art, Daisy a Ballerina, Minnie a poet, Donald a sculptor and Mickey a painter! So cute!
If you want a character meal with good interactions, try and get a reservation here! Worth it, in my opinion.

Overall
Topolinos is great. I would recommend it to anyone. The food is really good. The ambiance is wonderful. And the character interactions were hands down my favorite part of our time there.
Something to consider about this breakfast is the price tag. Since it is a character experience it is on the pricy side. Breakfast for adults is currently $45 and kids 9 and under are $29. Again, this is something you and your family\party will want to think about before making that reservation. However, in my opinion, it’s worth it. Make those memories!
This breakfast with 4 Disney friends was a wonderful experience. I want to go back especially with my nieces and nephew. I can only imagine the look on their faces when they can hug Mickey!
