Inside Hollywood Studios

HiYa Pals!

Have ever been to Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Maybe you’re only going for a few days and are trying to decide which parks to visit and which to skip. In this blog we will look at Hollywood Studios! Hopefully this will give you a better idea of what’s inside!

Park Entry

Walking up to the park you begin to see the themed decor and feel the retro vibes. It is such a fun look, like taking a step into old Hollywood. After going through security, you will scan in and into the park you go!

As soon as you enter you will without a doubt spot the circular kiosk, Crossroads of the World, where you can find maps, ask cast members questions etc. To the right of entry is Oscars Super Service where stroller and wheelchair rentals are available. Often times you will find characters such as Donald Duck and Daisey Duck greeting guests on the balcony above the restrooms!

Hollywood Boulevard

Hollywood Boulevard is the main road leading into the park beginning at park entrance. Here you will find an array of shops and places to grab a quick bite. There is a Starbucks location, named The Trolley Car Cafe! You can find your typical Starbucks offerings plus some special Disney treats.

Sunset Boulevard

As you make your way further into the park you will come to Sunset Boulevard. Make a right down this path and there is much to see.

Looking for more shops to check out look no further. You can find stores such as Beverly Sunset Boutique, Sunset Ranch Pins and Souvenirs, and Once Upon a Time. All fun spots to check out for merchandise.

There are a few spots to grab a snack or ice cream. Anaheim Produce has a great menu, and Rosies All American Cafe is always a great choice.

The iconic Tower of Terror!

However, at the end of Sunset Boulevard are the main attractions. You will find Rockin Roller Coaster for your thrill lovers, for your little ones there is the show, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, and the ever so loved or hated The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

To make sure your little ones are tall enough to ride check out our blog on height requirements here!

Around Echo Lake

If you are standing on Hollywood Boulevard looking in towards the park and make your way left instead of right onto Sunset, you will enter the area around Echo Lake.

In this area of the park there are several restaurants. If you want a character dining experience, I highly recommend trying Hollywood and Vine. Enjoy a buffet style meal all while meeting some of your favorite Disney characters. Or 50’s Prime Time and devour some of your grandmas’ classic dishes such as meatloaf or pot roast. There is also a quick service spot called Dockside Diner.

Attractions around the lake include Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, step into a theater, take a quick break and enjoy some Mickey shorts. Closest to the center of the park but facing echo lake is the Frozen Sing Along! Everyone is sure to enjoy this hilarious show.

Commissary Lane

Tucked behind the Frozen sing along is Commissary Lane. Stop by ABC Commissary for a quick service meal. Back here you can also find the meet and greet spots for Mickey, Minnie, and nearby is Olaf.

Rounding the corner you will find the attractions Star Tour and The Show Muppet Vision 3D. In this area there are a few more food locations, Si-fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, sit and enjoy a meal while seated in an “outdoor” movie theater. Additionally, nearby is The BaseLine Tap House, Pizza Rizzo a place to find a quick meal on the more budget friendly side, and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

For you Star Wars lovers this is the place for you. You will have no problem fully immersing yourself in full Star Wars life! This part of the park is pretty cool even if you’re not a huge fan. Here there are two attractions, Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

There are a few places to grab some food, the most popular and also the quick service location is Docking Bay 7. Additionally, there is Ronto Roasters where you can buy sweet and spicy popcorn, The Milk Stand where you can try a green or blue milk, and for adults Olgas Cantina. Looking to find some souvenirs? There are places to find merchandise all over the place.

In this land you can have a full experience building a droid or building a light saber. My nephew has asked several times to try that next time we go. It’s a great time for all ages.

Toy Story Land

Enter Andys backyard and shrink down to the size of a toy! This is my favorite part of the park. Looking for a Pixar fix this is a great place to come. Here you will find the attractions Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania!

Hungry? Grab a bite from Woody’s Lunch Box. They have some great things to try. Thier breakfast bowl is delish! You can stand in the line or try ordering via mobile order! Worth a try. Coming March 23rd, 2023 is a new quick service spot named Rodeo Roundup BBQ! Krysta gets to dine here soon so be sure to stay tuned for a review! Outside of the actual land is a little kiosk Joffre’s, offering coffees and treats but most importantly they have the Jack Jack Nom Nom Cookies! Served warm, gooey, and delicious. They are amazing!

Rounding up the rest!

Exiting Toy Story Land, walking past the Joffre’s coffee shop, you will begin the track towards the front of the park. You will pass a theater showing previews from different movies and Walt Disney’s One Mans Dream. This is a great spot to learn a little Disney history.

Soon you will pass the show Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which I am not sure is up. If you enter under the Hollywood Studios Sign you will enter what I like to call the kiddy playground! In this area there is a lot of open space, perfect for letting your little ones run or walk around to get some wiggles out. There are also benches available for guests to use, perfect for a quick break.

You will also find the Disney Junior Dance Party. Little ones will get to dance alongside Micky and some Disney Junior Friends. There are also meet and greets with Doc McStuffins, Vamperina, and some beloved Star Wars characters.

Back to the center of the park in Animation Courtyard is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway! If you are looking for a nicer meal, I suggest checking out The Hollywood Brown Derby! I have yet to eat there but reviews are great.

To round out, the park at night, back on Sunset Boulevard is the entrance for the stadium where the nighttime spectacular is held. Fantasmic was recently brought back from a long hiatus due to the pandemic. Guests and Cast members were thrilled to have this classic return for a little more Disney Magic.

Disney Travel Agent
