Diamond Horseshoe Review

Hiya Pals!

We’re back from a recent trip to Disney and wanted to share our experience with a Diamond Horseshoe review! This was the first time we had the pleasure of dining there, and I know it will not be the last.

You’ll walk into the grand music hall and find your table in the presence of the World Famous Self-Playing Piano. It plays music periodically throughout your dining experience. Food here is served in an all you care to enjoy family style. Moreover, the dining hall itself is smaller than I would have expected, but the service was amazing, and the food was top notch! Let’s review The Diamond Horseshoe!

The Main Course

Starting off your dinner is the salad. My son originally said he didn’t want salad, but he took one bite and changed his tune! He loved the house-made dressing which was a citrus vinaigrette. We topped the salad off with some rolls and butter.

Second came the saloon feast which consists of roasted turkey, pot roast, and pork for the meat dishes. The side dishes are mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, veggies and herb stuffing with gravy. We piled our plates high with all the offerings and dug in! Actually, all the meats were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the sides were the perfect pairings! Let’s just say none of us left hungry and there were plenty of refills on most things.

Dessert

Lastly, they brought out dessert! Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake. It was the highlight of my night! It’s a warm vanilla toffee cake topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and toffee bits. I would go back just for this! Melting into the cake, the ice cream brings the perfect balance of coldness to the warm cake and the crunchy toffee is the perfect topper. Dessert is also all you can enjoy, and we asked for a second helping. Specifically, there was not a morsel left after we were through!

Ambiance & Extras

Set in an old west saloon dance hall the ambiance here is very nostalgic if you like the old west. It reminds you of cowboys and discovery, and old timey entertainment. Additionally, the self-playing piano is a really fun touch. Located in Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom, this theming fits the bill!

Our Thoughts

Obviously, we loved the food and the theming at The Diamond Horeshoe, but dessert was the best part for me! We had second helpings of a lot of the dishes including dessert and feel like the value at restaurants like this is great! It’s very similar to Liberty Tree Tavern and I think they even share a kitchen. All in all, we would eat here again for sure! The Diamond Horseshoe was easy to get into: we made a reservation the day of on our MDE account. If you want to find out how to do that look here. Overall, it was delicious we had great service and a fun time!
