Hiya pals!
You may have noticed it’s been a little while since our last post, and that’s because we were recently enjoying the Disney Magic! Additionally, you may have noticed there was one Disney resort left off of the Deluxe reviews. You guessed it-Disney’s Riviera Resort! We had the pleasure of checking out this awesome resort in our most recent stay! It was the first time for us and hopefully not the last!
Disney’s Riviera resort is extra special because it’s not only the newest, but Walt himself visited the Riviera for his family’s vacation and you can find those pictures located in the resort. So, let’s jump in and discover Disney’s version of the Riviera!
Rooms and Amenities
This resort offers different room categories. You can choose from one-, two- or three-bedroom villas, or studios. This is a DVC resort so if you love it enough and want to own your own piece of the magic you can choose to do so here!
We stayed in a one-bedroom villa. It can sleep up to 5 people and was absolutely gorgeous. Both my husband and I found ourselves saying “we could just live here!”
The shower had a rainfall head, the toilet paper and tissues were stamped with the Riviera logo, the bed was super comfortable and the whole place was decorated beautifully. Any room you choose will not disappoint!
You’ll also find fun activities such as movies under the stars and s’mores campfires during your stay! You can find more info on your resort tv! If you’re looking for a fitness center, you’ll find that at this resort as well!
Pools
The Riviera Pool is the main pool featuring the water slide. Here you’ll find a zero-entry pool, lots of pool side chairs, and tons of fun!
If you’re looking for a quieter pool, then the Beau Soleil Pool is for you!
Splash Pad
There is also a splash area for younger children called S’il Vous Play that is located right off the main pool area. It features several small slides and fountains for littles to romp around in.
Restaurants
Toppolinos Terrace
Located at the top of the Riviera is Toppolinos Terrace. Here they offer breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is truly unique since it’s a character breakfast, you get meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. We’ve eaten breakfast here in the past and it truly is an experience to remember! Not only are the characters fun and interactive, but the food is divine! I have not had the privilege of having dinner here (yet), but I’ve heard nothing but good things from those who have!
Bar Riva
Additionally, you’ll find Bar Riva near the pool where you can enjoy drinks or a small selection of salads and sandwiches, as well as Le Petit Café located near the main entrance. Le Petit offers anything from your morning coffee to decadent treats and everything in between. You can stop here for breakfast lunch or dinner and have something deliciously unique and mouthwatering.
Primo Piatto
Finally, you can check out Primo Piatto which also offers mobile ordering. Here you can refill you resort mugs, grab something quick to eat, or have a full-on meal! You will not be disappointed here! We enjoyed a mobile order breakfast and ate in our room before heading to the parks! Let’s just say the lemon blueberry pancakes will never leave your mind!
Transportation
Transportation here is a breeze! You’ll find the skyliner located at the end of the building that will take you to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, and a bus can take you to Magic or Animal Kingdom.
If you prefer to use a car service such as Lyft or Uber that is also available at your expense.
Overall, this resort is beautiful, clean and downright amazing! I talked to a fellow first timer in the elevator and she was equally impressed with the elegance of the resort. It truly is an experience to remember, and I’ll suggest it to anyone!
If you’re looking for other Deluxe resorts, you can find them here.
